This brilliant private selection—curated in collaboration with the San Diego Barrel Boys—is a prime example. Filled on May 1, 2004, and aged for a full 16 years in Vermont’s Warehouse 1 (Rick E, Level 3), this single barrel has experienced more dramatic temperature cycling than usual, pulling rich wood sugars and deep character directly from the oak.
