The journey begins with hand-selected barrels of fine straight bourbon, aged between four and six years until fully matured. Once the whiskey reaches its peak traditional expression, it is transferred to hand-selected ruby port wine casks from Portugal for an additional finishing period (typically three to six months). This secondary maturation imparts subtle, elegant notes of dark red fruit, raisin, and structural sweetness, while the port casks draw out any harsh wood tannins for an exceptionally silky finish.
